Access door RD 54 - V4A
Highly corrosion-resistant AISI 316 access door for demanding air duct systems
The REVISION RD 54 – AISI 316 is a tried-and-tested access door made from AISI 316 stainless steel for rectangular, uninsulated air ducts. This access door has been specially developed for long-term use in professional air duct installation. Thanks to the duct wall clamping mechanism, whereby the duct wall is clamped between the inner and outer covers, and the integrated PE seal, the access door meets the airtightness requirements of ATC2 in accordance with DIN EN 16798-3. This also ensures reliable access for inspection, maintenance and cleaning work. The version made from AISI 316 stainless steel (1.4404 / ASTM 316L) is particularly suitable for applications with increased requirements for corrosion resistance and material durability.
In day-to-day operations, operators, service companies and duct installers are frequently faced with the challenge of having to inspect ventilation systems on a regular basis. In doing so, the airtightness of the air duct system must not be permanently compromised. The REVISION RD 54 – AISI 316 solves this problem thanks to its robust construction from AISI 316 stainless steel. It also features corrosion-resistant and ergonomic POM twist handles with a maximum clamping force of 2,000 to 3,000 Nm and a durable PE seal. This ensures that the inspection opening remains reliably usable even after many maintenance cycles.

PE seal for reliable sealing in air duct construction
The integrated PE seal consists of a closed-cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam and ensures reliable sealing between the Access door and the duct wall. The seal is available in a white finish and features a self-adhesive backing, facilitating simple and clean installation. Furthermore, the material is REACH-compliant and free from substances of very high concern in accordance with current REACH requirements.
The PE seal is designed for a temperature range of -40 °C to +70 °C and can withstand temperatures of up to +80 °C for short periods. This makes it suitable for numerous applications in ventilation and air-conditioning technology.
In terms of resistance to liquids, the PE seal offers limited protection against splashing water. For applications with higher requirements for liquid tightness, the specific operating conditions should be checked and, where necessary, alternative seal variants considered.
