The IRD inspection cover is designed for insulated rectangular air ducts to cover the insulation material with a stable edge profile. The IRD inspection cover is made of galvanized steel, with a cut-out size of 200 × 100 mm, and it features a gasket made of ethylene–propylene–diene rubber. The permissible temperature range is between −70°C and +80°C, and the allowable insulation thickness for the IRD cover is 20–30 mm.
The duct wall thickness of the insulated duct may be a maximum of 2.0 mm, and the maximum permissible pressure is ±2,500 Pa.
