MEZ-SYPHON-FLANGE 20 short – galv.: Maximum airtightness and stability for precise air duct connections

In the manufacture and installation of air ducts, absolute dimensional accuracy, high airtightness and cost-effective processing are among the key requirements. Particularly with large-format ducts or higher tightness classes, inaccurate profiles, unstable flange frames or time-consuming rework quickly lead to time losses, complaints and unnecessary costs.

The MEZ-SYPHON-FLANGE 20 – galv. in the short version with Butyl-Mastic injection has been specially developed to meet these requirements. As an air duct profile made of galvanized steel, it combines high dimensional stability with an integrated siphon geometry for consistently high airtightness. The chamfered bevel facilitates insertion of the duct wall, whilst the 45° support leg specifically stiffens the flange frame. The slightly chamfered inner leg acts as a sealing lip and presses reliably against the duct wall. This is a clear advantage over standard profiles commonly available on the market without a siphon effect. Thanks to the placement of the Mez-Butyl-Mastic in the MEZ-SYPHON-FLANGE, this air ventilation system can be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of tightness classes C & D as per DIN EN 1507.

Manufacture from high-quality galvanized steel ensures consistent profile quality, high corrosion resistance and reproducible results in series production – a level of quality also required for precision-formed cold-rolled system profiles in industrial profile construction.
